Glass walls coupled with wooden slats bring with them a sense of privacy without hindering the flow of light while the existing upgraded Victorian house at the front is given a smart facelift. Three bedrooms along with a bathroom are nestled in this part of the house even as the top level holds the master bedroom terrace and a spacious library.
The new kitchen and bathroom sit as a transition between the living space and the main bedroom at the front and the dining space and additional bedroom in the rear of the house. Colorful mosaic tiles enliven the kitchen in white even as large original windows with double-glazed panels usher in plenty of light and give the interior freshness.
Nestled in the beautiful residential community of South Korea’s sixth largest city sure has a distinct identity of its own. A cantilevered front section of the house that almost seems like it is defying gravity when viewed from certain angles welcomes you at this spacious family residence.
Simple and practical design that does away with the unnecessary and focuses firmly on ergonomics is much harder to conjure up and create than it sounds. Nestled in the idyllic town of Pilar in Argentina ventures down this path as it places emphasis on minimal design and an uncomplicated form where functionality precedes form. The small footprint of the house was a conscious choice made by the architects to reduce both construction cost and time even while leaving ample space for a wonderful garden and outdoor living area.
Pops of blue unite the interior with the outdoor living space even as much of the color palette is kept as neutral as possible. On the inside an open plan living room with a kitchen and dining area forms the central ‘social zone’ that opens up to the backyard while the bedrooms offer complete privacy.
